a secluded Retreat In the heart of thee chum mi yich meaning further back inside in Ayajuthem (Klahoose).

a boat access-only sanctuary. no roads, to-do lists, or distractions.

a place you can simply… be.

joy:

a verb. a noun. a way of being.

noun:

the positive energy evoked by actualizing our calling.

A feeling of buoyancy. a state of happiness. a source of delight.

verb:

the expression of that positive energy.

Be it love, generosity, dancing, big-heartedness, hope. there are so many expressions of joy. Are you ready to find yours?

way of being:

ease inside and out. choosing love in the easy and hard. appreciation for what is here. seeing the beauty.

I have learned that no matter what comes, what our inner critics have to say, and what’s happening in the world, there is joy in even the smallest of pockets if we are able to see it. Joy is often seen as something we get from the external. If we’ve had a great day, if we achieved, if we take a break, if that things happens… if if if.

What if —

Joy is an inner state.

Joy is what happens when we align to our purpose and commit to it without attachment to outcomes.

(hard I know!)

Joy is a human experience worthy of our time and attention.

Most of us deny ourselves this way of being. We deny ourselves joy.

It’s time to let joy in.

This is what this retreat is about — letting joy into our lives. Connecting to your inner joy. Allowing joy to exist and flourish in your life. Allowing joy to guide you in purpose-led choices and heart-driven actions.

and…

Relax in the sauna on a private dock. Walk in a secluded forest with new and old friends. Experience joy from Indigenous knowledge keepers. Sweat it out on your mat. Look for ocras and humpbacks as you sip your coffee. Skinny dip in the fresh ocean. Eat nourishing meals made with love from the land. Gather in community.

No cooking or cleaning or anyone to take care of. Be cared for — this time is for you.

Space is limited to 13 womxn to offer a unique, intimate and engaging weekend.

“I loved the balance of rest, inner work, yoga, meditation, play, nutrition, self-care, independent, group....the ability to quietly, slowly and easily transition from one component to the next. All in good time with no sense of urgency. It was magical.”

— Margo Dent, Squamish BC Canada
