making dreams real

Last week I launched the arrival of my first book arrivingIt’s been a dream of mine for years to be an author and that’s real now.

There’s something I want you to know about going after your dreams:

The closer you get the higher the exposure.

People will judge you. Reorient themselves to you. Even fade away.

People will lift and champion you. New people will come who will see you for who you are and what you’re capable of.

When you bring your dreams to life you will feel bouyant with pride, gratitude and strength. And — you will feel grief for who isn’t here to witness, those who let you down, and the odd emptiness that comes when we achieve something.

The moment you stop pleasing and appeasing the naysayers — you will rise.

If it were easy, it wouldn’t be a dream. It would simply be a check box on your to do list.

Don’t take the easy path. Don’t let mediocrity keep you stuck. And above all… don’t give up when it gets hard.

The world is full of people who will say you can’t, shouldn’t, why bother. They will judge you for your hope, your confidence, your work, and your worth.

You. You be the person who celebrates others’ dreams. Who says yesBe the person who makes dreams real.

The world needs more of that.
