leadership is a practice.

There is no one right way to lead. Leadership is a gathering of unique strengths, lived experiences, personality types, individual and organizational goals, and the dynamics between people that are changing moment by moment. Being a leader is like being on the ocean — conditions changes quickly, sometimes without warning — a great leader is ready to navigate their ship and crew through both rough and smooth water with focus, compassion, and decisiveness.

my style.

My style is to give you the ingredients to build your own recipes for your unique leadership style and voice, and the skills you need to develop. I use a coach approach that allows for personalized growth and autonomy to determine your growth opportunities. I take teachings from multi-faceted lenses and perspectives to challenge you to see beyond the box so you can create the conditions for yourself and your team to shine.

Expect mindfulness-based tools, leading methodologies, and relevant practices you can use immediately. I use a decolonized approach that prioritizes creating safe, inclusive spaces where everyone gets to shine.

leadership modules

enneagram leadership strengths & style

The Enneagram is a leadership and personality typing system. It’s been used across cultures for over 2,000 years to understand who we are, why we do what we do, and how we can lead from our best. A comprehensive assessment tool identifies your and your team’s core type — personality, motivation and self-limiting beliefs — creating a roadmap for accelerated, integrative and sustainable development in individuals, teams or organizations.

learning outcomes:

  • Identify your and your team members’ strengths, blindspots, triggers and opportunities

  • Insight into how you react to challenge, conflict, and change so you can more effectively lead and manage

  • Tools and strategies to optimize team success

the present & self-aware leader

Self-awareness is the single most important quality a leader can have. It’s what allows you to manage your triggers and reactions, stay calm under pressure, and make the right decisions. It’s also what enables you to empower others to give their best selves to team and work. This is all about building your ability to be present and self-aware with yourself, others and the world around you.

learning outcomes:

  • Build your awareness so you can self-regulate and show up from your best

  • Establish a growth “above-the-line” mindset

  • Identify and catch your triggers so you can respond (not react)

  • Befriend your inner critic to move you forward

conflict evolution

When people come together there is invevitable conflict. The goal of a great team is not to avoid conflict but to help each other grow in conflict. Traditionally we are taught to resolve conflict yet this can cause you and your teams to stay stuck in old patterns without any forward motion. Conflict evolution is about meeting each other in the here and now and using that to work better together.

learning outcomes:

  • Idenfity your conflict style — your default when things can crunchy

  • Understand your team’s conflict style using the Enneagram as a guide

  • Gain strategies to clearly and effectively communicate in heated situations

  • Gain tools to be able to show up from your best

feedback & praise that motivate

Giving feedback is one of the hardest and most essential aspects of leading others and working in high performing teams. The Racial Candor framework, developed by Kim Scott, is a simple, powerful and effective way to give and receive feedback and praise — in the moment.  Use this tool to create a culture of feedback that consistency helps people grow.

learning outcomes:

  • feedback 101 — why feedback is hard and how to do it anyway

  • Identify core issues in hard conversations

  • Give feedback that propels people forward

conscious time management

Time is the number one thing people want more of. When we can be in control of our time, we have more of it. Conscious time management is about how we manage requests, energy and goals so we can be in integrity with what we say yes to.

Trust is built when we honour our commitments. We do that by being proactive and clear. This session focuses on practical strategies to be in an intentional relationship with time.”

Learning Outcomes:

  • Reframe your mindset so you’re in a healthier relationship with how you use time

  • Learn the Two Feet In framework to be in integrity with your commitments

  • Use the 4 ways to respond to requests to more effectively manage your time

  • Integrate tools to be in greater control of your time

people leadership & performance

If you work on a team, you are responsible for contributing to the performance of your team. Whether you lead people or projects (or both), your communication, choices and actions impact your collective success.

How do you set your team up for success? How do you know what each member needs to shine? This module will give you the tools and strategies to lead teams and projects.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Apply six core team performance concepts to empower teams

  • Use the spectrum of coaching to give effective support and direction

  • Learn how to delegate (yes, it’s true, you need to do this more)

responsive decision-making

A great leader is able to balance the needs of the moment with the vision and values of a company. As a leader you need to be seeing ahead, so you can proactively respond to what’s coming and lead projects and team successfully.

Responsive decision making is about successfully assessing situations — the risk and reward — to make the best choices. This is particularly key in crisis and when there are competing priorities.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Effectively assess situations to identify what’s needed and the true priority

  • Apply the decision-making pyramid process

  • Use the risk and reward matrix to understand what’s at stake
